We are also investors in both private and public markets, using only our own capital. Unlike traditional funds or private equity firms, we are not confined by a mandate with investors.

In our pursuit of privately owned businesses, we actively seek investment opportunities that align with the following criteria:

• Size: Our investment focus is on businesses with an EBITDA between $1 million and $5 million AUD. The private businesses we target
  are significantly smaller than those we typically advise.

• Control Requirement: We look for opportunities where a change
  of control is sought by the sellers and we can add value with our network and skills.

• Defensible Moat: The businesses we invest in must possess
  a sustainable competitive advantage, which can take various forms.

Please note that we do not invest in property, start-ups, or companies that predominantly sell the time and expertise of skilled professionals (e.g., consulting engineers).
